Hi V
I love your show and listen religiously every day in my bridal studio in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. I am a bridal dressmaker. My background is costume for film and television and I use my costume influences to design and make bridal gowns for brides who want alternate to the white wedding gown. I have brides usually who are influenced by costume dramas or a time in history to create beautiful, colourful gowns where they truely do look like they have stepped off of a film set. My own collection is influenced by Victoriana and corsetry. For years at wedding shows other designers have always thought my gowns too opulent and not in keeping with the tradional dress. I find it interesting how the wedding business is now accepting colour when my brides have been choosing colours for years.
I’ve attached some pictures of my work for you to see. These are real brides who were not scared to be different and have the wedding and dress of their dreams.
